Course Development Roadmap

The purpose of this document is to share SkillSoft’s intended 12-month roadmap for delivering new courses to extend the coverage of our industry-leading information technology and business skills courseware libraries.

As the largest learning solutions provider focused totally on e-learning, SkillSoft delivers an industry-leading number of new interactive e-learning courses to market each year. These courses are built in response to the priorities we hear from our thousands of Global 5000 customer organizations. During the second half of 2003 and the first half of 2004, SkillSoft intends to deliver over 1,000 hours of new IT courseware, and over 300 hours of new business skills courseware, simulations and blended learning toolkits.

The pages that follow show the subjects that are currently in our intended build plan for the coming 12 months. We share this with the intention of helping our customers see how SkillSoft is prioritizing our development resources, so that they can in turn plan for how to address their evolving workforce training requirements. SkillSoft’s choices for subject areas and associated release schedules are subject to change on an ongoing basis. There are a number of reasons that can cause Skillsoft to adjust our plans, among the most prominent being 1) changing priorities we hear from our overall customer base, 2) changing schedules from technology providers on their timing for releasing new software versions and/or certifications, and 3) a change in legal statutes that require a change in our courseware in order to stay current with the law. During the coming 90 days SkillSoft will be conducting customer surveys to hear from as many of our customers as possible on what information technology, business skills and compliance subjects SkillSoft could build during 2004 that would best meet our customers’ emerging priorities.

SkillSoft will publish updates to this document on a quarterly basis to offer a rolling 12-month outlook on the courses that are at the top of our priority list to deliver within the capacity of our extensive content development resources.
